Dr. David Kent is the founder of the Lifestyle Lift and the Lifestyle Lift Foundation, a non-profit organization that is aimed at helping children who suffering from disfiguring diseases and accidents lead happier, healthier lives.
Dr. Kent maintains a very active role in the Lifestyle Lift. After developing the unique, remarkably successful procedure, Dr. Kent has helped bring happier lives to tens of thousands of people around the world by sharing the Lifestyle Lift with other professional facial surgeons.
In addition to managing the professional practice he has operated for more than a decade, Dr. Kent also spends much of his time attending conferences and other industry events to spread the word about the Lifestyle Lift and to further develop other innovations related to cosmetic surgery.
Dr. David Kent is a member of a number of professional societies, including the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery; the American Osteopathic College of Otolaryngology (head & neck surgery); the American Osteopathic Association; and many others.
The Lifestyle Lift founder completed residencies in general surgery, otolaryngology, head & neck, and facial plastic surgery. Dr. Kent also specializes in pediatric plastic surgery, which is an area of expertise that he is able to practice through his Lifestyle Life Foundation.
In his spare time, Dr. Kent enjoys the outdoors, and is an avid bass fisherman. He spends most of his spare time with his wife and three children at their home in Michigan.
About The Lifestyle Lift Foundation
Dr. Kent's policy is that no child should suffer the humiliation of growing up in society with a visible abnormality if something could be done about it.
The Lifestyle Lift Foundation was formed to do just that. Hemangiomas, in particular, concerned Dr. Kent. These defects can often be life threatening to the child, and can prove to be fatal if they involve vital organs of the face, such as the nose and mouth, if they are not treated and in most cases, removed. The surgeons at the Lifestyle Lift Foundation are highly trained experts in performing these procedures.
Different treatment options are used to effectively assess each individual case, whether it be Laser therapy, the use of steroids, surgical removal, or a combination of all three. Each case is different, and the surgeon will give you all the options available to you and your child. Treatment plans will be formed to best meet the needs of each child, with the goal of restoring as close to a normal appearance as possible, given the circumstances.
The Lifestyle Lift Foundation operates on the belief that all children are deserving of a chance to grow up and lead a happy productive life, without social rejection. Physical deformities are particularly disturbing to children because they do not understand why they appear different from others. Surgical intervention at an early age will help the child and his parents move on to a normal life.
The Lifestyle Lift Foundation has treated children from all areas of the country, with some coming from as far away as Peru to obtain the services of the surgeons at the Foundation. No one is ever turned away if the inability to pay for treatment is an issue. Dr. Kent established his Lifestyle Lift Foundation so that all families, from all walks of life, could come here and be given hope.
